Subscribe by data volume
The ranking is free and public and cannot be bought. This page publishes the API quota, entitlements and billing basis of the free tier and all six paid plans — what you pay for is data access, never a position or reach.
Loading plans… | ||||
- Webhook:Developer

1. Ranking vs. payment
To be clear up front: the ranking is published in full, free, on the web — no account and no subscription required. Positions are computed by a public algorithm over public signals (GitHub stars and forks). Paying cannot change a position, buy a slot, or buy reach. A subscription buys data access on top of the ranking: more frequent API calls, deeper history, comparison boards and export.
These rules were fully reset on 2026-09-21: this site previously sold paid placement (bid-ranked slots). That model has ended, and all of its rules (pricing basis, bidding increments, weighting, settlement options) are void. One model remains: a free public ranking plus data subscriptions.
2. Plans & quota
One free tier and six paid plans. A quota is a monthly API call allowance. The table is rendered straight from the site's plan configuration — no second copy of the numbers lives on this page.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | API calls / month | Key entitlements |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loading plans… / | ||||
3. Quota rule
The quota is a published fixed number (see the table above, rendered straight from the site configuration) — no undisclosed multiplier is applied, and the unit cost of a call falls strictly as you move up the tiers.
unit call cost = monthly fee ÷ monthly quota · yearly quota = monthly quota × 10
- Quota resets each calendar month and does not carry over; unused calls do not accumulate.
- Yearly quota = monthly quota × 10 (you pay for 10 months out of 12 — the other 2 are the annual discount).
- No flat segment: each step up has a strictly lower unit cost than the plan below it — there is no tier where paying more fails to lower the per-call price. Both the quota and the per-call price are checkable tier by tier in the table above.
- No automatic overage charges. Once the allowance is exhausted the API returns
429with a reset time; no extra invoice is generated. - Actual amounts and currencies are those shown at the payment provider's checkout. The prices here are published list prices (USD) for comparing the rule, not a billing basis.
4. Entitlements
- API quota: monthly ceiling on calls that read the public ranking, a single entry, the category list, and historical snapshots.
- History & comparison: Starter includes 12 months of ranking history; Business adds full history and a comparison board; Team adds competitor comparison.
- Export: CSV / JSON export at snapshot granularity — the exported file is the same data, same ordering rule, as the API returns.
- Webhooks: from Developer up, one endpoint receives data-change notifications. These carry data changes only — there is no ability to buy a position.
- Seats & SLA: seats let several people share one subscription; Scale adds a 99.9% uptime SLA and dedicated support.
5. Payment & invoices
- Payment methods: a single merchant of record (MoR) handles checkout and issues the international invoice/receipt as seller of record. We do not operate domestic payment channels directly.
- Refunds: handled under the refund rules; unused subscription periods may be refunded pro rata.
- Checkout status: we are migrating checkout to a new payment provider. Until it opens, subscription buttons stay disabled — we will not send anyone to a checkout that is bound to fail.

score = stars + 0.25 × forks, with ties broken by most recent push, then stars, then entry id. The full basis, data sources, tie rules and known limitations are in the ranking notes; what gets included is explained by the Data API and methodology pages.
